I don’t often wear rings since it’s hard to find something that looks nice and fits.
But I stopped by H&M over the weekend and found a set of animal rings in the Divided section that peaked my interest.
It was difficult to try them on in the store due to the packaging, but it said XS/S in terms of sizing, so I bought them. When I got home, I could only fit into one ring (an owl in Size 5) and the rest slid off my fingers. I tried the rest on my thumbs but it just didn’t look right.
So, I’m giving away the three (out of four) rings individually….for FREE!

**UPDATE: Giveaway is closed. October 1st.
It’s been about a year since I bought clothes from H&M.
I had a notorious addiction to H&M for a while because it was relatively cheap, trendy, and available. When I noticed that I was buying things on a whim instead of really loving a piece, I had to put an end to it. So, I refused to go into the store for a few months and pretty soon, I almost forgot that H&M existed.
Still, I needed to confront my shopping demon vis-à-vis. After all, what’s the use of being a “recovered addict” if you still have an unhealthy attraction for your past temptation? The true test comes when you can still retain your senses and make good decisions despite being in a high-risk situation.
For me, I needed to go back to H&M and see if the pull to purchase could be tamed. If I could walk away from the store with nothing in hand, it would be a victory. But even if I did purchase something, it had to be something of value, quality, and would stand the test of time. I don’t want to buy any more clothes that will look ridiculous to wear five years down the road. It sounds a bit excessive, but I think it’s proper planning for my wardrobe.
After all, I don’t want to be one of those people who wear only 20% of the items in their closet on a regular basis. I prefer to maximize my clothing “investments” and make sure that I’m getting the most use out of it. What’s the point of having beautiful clothes but it never gets worn?
But anyways, back to H&M.
What did I get?
I love warm weather!
But no outdoor outfit posts…I feel silly standing in front of a tripod and I don’t have a photographer that can travel with me. So, indoor shots once again.
I’m wearing purple circle lenses, (Geo Angels) but you can’t really tell the color, it just doesn’t look brown. I’ve been shopping my closet lately since I haven’t been buying clothes. In fact, I’m stocking up on basics instead like slips, undergarments, stockings, etc. And accessories, I’m loving my straw hats…I can’t believe I never thought of wearing them until last summer!
By the way, I love the length of this Forever 21 skirt. It’s quite rare for me to find a flattering skirt that isn’t down to my knees! I don’t know what it is, perhaps it’s because I have “athletic” legs, but I tend to favor the flared A-line skirts instead of pencil skirts or tight minis.
What’s your favorite skirt style: straight, tapered, a-line, and/or flared?
Back to school season is already here and with it comes some last minute traveling before hitting the books. Plus, it’s just nice to get away from the daily grind, whether it be work or school, before autumn arrives and the cold weather sets in.
When traveling, I think leggings are much more comfortable than jeans and more covered than a dress. I’ve heard that maxi dresses are great, but I’m not a fan, and it’s a bit too breezy for my liking. My ideal travel outfit would be a nice oversized tee, leggings, white keds, a beanie if I have a bad hair day, and a circle scarf in case I get cold.
Instead of playing it safe with basic black leggings, why not try out different patterns, colors, and styles? There are so many different looks, I can’t get enough!
It’s pretty simple to mix and match outfits to go with leggings. For solid color leggings, a patterned or printed top would be awesome. While for patterned leggings, a simple solid color top will suffice. Some say that leggings are not a replacement for pants, but as long as you keep your bum covered, it’s fine with me. It’s all about the confidence in what you wear that really makes the outfit pop.
My faves are the printed pink leggings and the graffiti leggings…so HOT!
