Foodie-Ville: Obsessed

29 Dec

I haven’t disappeared…I’ve just been food obsessed.

I’m scouring my mom’s cookbooks, looking up my favorite recipes, and dabbling in some unique cuisines that I haven’t yet experienced. There’s something about family, food, and socializing that comes together during the holidays. My attention has been pulled toward food instead of fashion lately, so let me indulge in my obsession for a while longer.

For the holidays, my family makes a potluck of Chinese food that really makes my mouth water just thinking about it again.

Here’s a snapshot into our home-made dishes.

Sesame Cold Noodle Salad

Cucumber and Smoked Salmon Appetizer

Steamed Broccoli with Crabmeat and Scallops

Soy Sauce Eggs with Sweet Spareribs

yum! I actually haven’t had any but the last dish. I’ve probably packed on a good 5 lbs while at home from my mom’s Chinese cooking : )
